Microsoft is already working on the next generation of Windows 10

Windows 10 is a fundamental change from Microsoft's previous practice of developing and releasing operating systems for client and server devices. Windows as a Service changes the development and release model by publishing a continuous stream of operating system updates to the operating system versus publishing feature updates as service packs or individual updates. Microsoft releases two feature updates per year that present changes, new features, and improvements to Windows 10 devices. Updates are sent to Windows Insider devices first before being pushed to home use devices and later to devices that have Pro or Enterprise versions of Windows 10. A recent announcement by Synaptics, called suggests that Microsoft is already working on a next-generation operating system (noted by Günter Born).
